Repurposed drugs

You can kill your cancer cells by starving them!
Research and several studies show that conventional medicine originally used for other ailments can help starve cancer and ultimately kill cancer cells.
It is my ambition in this article to give you an understanding of what Repurposed Drugs (RD) are, what they can be used for, and where you can get more knowledge and help to move forward with it. Repurposed Drugs can be translated as Repurposed Medicine.
Knowledge is power
In 2018, Jane McLelland’s (JML) book: “How to Starve Cancer” was published . In this book, she tells her story of defeating cancer through a tireless study of the research that has been done in relation to the impact of different medications on cancer. It describes in detail how she treats herself and the help she fortunately receives from some progressive oncologists in England. It is a life and death fight for her, and it is now a gift to us cancer patients that she has passed on that knowledge to us.
Cancer: the challenge!
Jane McLelland explains in her book, among other things, that it is important to treat both the genetic, metabolic and altered cell signaling at the same time.
She bases her treatment on 4 pillars: diet, exercise, off-label medications and supplements. She strongly emphasizes that you will not achieve the desired result without diet, supplements and exercise. Recent research has found that it is not the genes or DNA that are responsible for the development of cancer. It is the environment in which the cells live that is responsible for which genes are expressed.
The environment around our cells is created by the hormones that the various centers of the brain and body are influenced to release, as well as, of course, the nutrients that we consume through our diet.
Since our thoughts and emotions also signal to these brain and body centers, they have just as much impact on the body’s chemical environment.
You could say that cancer cells arise in an altered cellular environment. Genes begin to express themselves differently and the signals to the environment change because they have to adapt to a changed environment.
They adapt, just as we do if we enter a room where everyone is behaving in a certain way. We sense the mood/energy/vibrations. For the cell, it is the chemistry of the environment and the sensitivity of the cell membrane to these “chemicals” that determines what adaptation to make. They then turn on the genes that create the proteins to carry out the relevant tasks in their particular tissue. Like a factory where the machines are built to produce bricks.
Fortunately, there are loyal normal cells that continue the necessary production. This means that there is still hope. For example, if the cell environment is very acidic and oxygen-poor, the cell can choose to change its strategy to survive. It survives without using oxygen in its metabolic process. The cancer cells shut down and change their production, running their own race. The changed abnormal behavior that the cancer cells exhibit to survive, as well as the changed chemistry around the cells, is what we want to change through diet, exercise and supplements.
I would like to add a change in behavior. JML does not address emotional stress as something to be treated or as a possible cause of the cancer response. However, there is research that shows that stress affects the brain, which secretes stress hormones and other chemicals that put our organs on high alert and lower our immune system.
Know your cancer
Regardless, you need to address all areas at once. Diet, exercise, supplements, and I’ve added stress.
You need to know your cancer before you can start blocking the nutrients it thrives on. Different cancers have different preferred nutrients in the form of either glucose, fatty acids or glutamine. That said, ultimately all avenues have to be closed because cancer cells want to survive at all costs. So they just move on to the next best nutrient and so on. They are and remain immortal. Normal cells are programmed to commit suicide (apoptosis) at some point. This is precisely to avoid errors/mutations.
So what should we do to starve the cancer cells?
Most people know that eliminating sugar from their diet is important because sugar feeds cancer. But of course, it’s a little more complex.
To this end, JML has come up with a kind of map of the “nutrient pathways” that cancer cells use. She calls it her “Metro Map.” It also shows which substances, medications, block these nutrient pathways.
Affordable recycled medicine
The medical preparations that JML has discovered through its studies and subsequently used are medicines that have been used for specific diagnoses other than cancer. They are no longer covered by the patent and are therefore affordable.
4 preparations
Here we should mention Metformin, which is used for diabetes. Statins, for high cholesterol, Aspirin, for blood clots/pain. Dipyridamole, prevents blood clots. Mebendazole, for pinworms. Doxycycline, an antibiotic/inflammation. Niclosamide, for worm infection.
I recently attended a webinar at Care Oncology Clinic (COC) , which is based in London and treats according to this protocol while also researching their results.
As far as I could understand, they have found that the combination of Dipuridamol , Metformin , Statin (Lavastatin or Rosuvastatin) and Vermox (against pinworms) provides the desired synergy, which also takes into account the dose, which can thus be as low as possible and with no or very few side effects.
Other repurposing drugs that have been found to have an effect against cancer are: Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) used against heroin abuse and Antabuse against alcohol abuse. These are the ones I know of at this time. There are probably more and more to come.
There are also all the natural things like mushrooms, spices and herbs. Let’s not forget that! JML mentions Berberine, which she has also used in her protocol, and it is a natural herb.
My most important message is that there is a lot you can do, and therefore a lot of hope to get better and live longer.
So can you just get started?
When it comes to JML’s protocol, there are problems getting a Danish GP to write a prescription for the drugs. You need to know a little about your cancer profile. You need to know the dose you need to take and be able to follow how things develop/work out. I would like to believe: Where there is a will, there is a way. Remember, you can get help. Good Luck
What you need to think about is whether you think it will benefit you. It may depend on where you are in your cancer journey, how you are feeling, and whether you have the energy to seek out and seek out the knowledge and help it requires.
It takes some time, I say for myself. I want to learn more, and thus have more opportunities. I think it is important for me as a cancer patient and curious Thistle member to share knowledge and experiences with you. One does not exclude the other. We need everything that can help in the fight against cancer, reduced quality of life and premature death.
That’s all that works.
RD is one of many options. It can be used at all stages of the disease. There are studies that show that many can live longer by using this option. It is important that you, as a cancer patient, reduce stress and think in terms of possibilities instead of limitations. Stress is also the emotional stressors, or emotional blocks, that can sabotage your healing process. They are instrumental in creating the environment in which your cells live. I mention this here because it is not included in JML’s model.
It is now old knowledge within Epigenetics (above genetics) that emotions and thoughts affect the formation and secretion of hormones and chemistry that make up the cellular environment. So if you think negatively, your cellular environment becomes acidic. So somewhat simplified: if you are truly happy and positive, you get a more basic cellular environment when you also eat alkaline food. Very simplified.
For RD, you can combine this treatment with conventional treatment. JML has used it in conjunction with lower doses of chemotherapy and high-dose intravenous vitamin C.
You just need to know that RD exists and that it is a low-side effect option to reduce and kill cancer.
